Beltz, Janet
Janet Beltz, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 2, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Lawson and Esther Hall Steadman.
She is survived by a brother, Douglas Steadman of Kentucky; her children, Diane (Randy) Blakley of Urbana, Lori Schneider (Mike) of Cedar Rapids, Craig (Carol) and David (Diane) Schneider, both of Cedar Rapids, Larry (Gail) Berndt of Ashland, Mo., Kim (Damon) Meyer of Hiawatha and Jeff (Molly) Berndt of Marion. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelle Jo Berndt; and four sisters, Dorothy Keith, Virginia Hawkins, Geraldine Standey and Marilyn Beltz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
