Bell, Bernice M.
Bernice M. Bell, 80, of Royston, Ga., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died March 10, 2010, at her daughter's home in Royston. Her remains will be cremated and laid to rest at St. Johns Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Debra (Richard) D'Amato of Priest River, Idaho, Edward (LouShawn) Brecht of Crawfordsville, Anthony Brecht and Karen (Barry) Pitman, both of Royston, Ga., Brenda (Dave) Potter of Mount Vernon and Janet Schmidt of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Mary Kaiser and Velma Quackenbush; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Brecht.
Bernice was born in Waterloo, Iowa on Aug. 3, 1929. She was active in the AFL-CIO Miscellaneous Auxiliary and Democratic Party.
Memorials may be sent to St. Luke's Hospice volunteer fund in Cedar Rapids or Hospice Advantage volunteer fund in Athens, Ga.
