Beier, Ruth Graesch
Ruth Graesch Beier, 93, of Harpers Ferry, formerly of Winthrop, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, after a short illness. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Friday, July 23, at Fremont Township Cemetery, north of Winthrop. Fawcett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Winthrop and Martin Funeral Home in Waukon assisted the family with arrangements.
Surviving family includes her daughter, Sheryl Smith and her significant other, Neale Downing, of Harpers Ferry; three grandsons, Bret Smith of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kurt Smith and Nile (Kay) Smith, both of Harpers Ferry; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald (Ruthie) Becker.
