Beebe, Margarete 'Margot'
Margarete “Margot” Beebe, 80, of Central City, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Willow Gardens Care Center following a long illness. No funeral services are planned. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
She was born in Cologne, Germany, on Dec. 16, 1930, to Gerhard and Maria Schmidt. She later welcomed brother, Anthony (deceased); another brother, Gunther (presumed deceased); and a baby sister, Anna Maria.
In 1956 Margot and her closest friend Margaret Schweir (deceased) together moved to Duluth, Minn., USA. In 1964, after extensive travel over the United States, she married Foch Louis Beebe in Denver, Colo. She and Foch made their lifelong home in Central City, Iowa.
Margot is survived by her husband, Foch Beebe of Central City, Iowa; her daughter, Denise Beebe Stuart (Grant) of Marietta, Ga.; and a granddaughter, Jessie Pearl Stuart, and grandson, Walter Eli Stuart, both of Marietta, Ga. Her sister, Anna Maria Krutsch of Cologne, Germany, also survives her.
Margot was a wonderful and caring wife and mother with a great sense of adventure and an independent and daring mind.
We as a family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to some dear friends. Thank you for everything to Mr. and Mrs. Max Bales of Central City and also Mrs. Judy Murray of Central City for being very special friends to Margot.
