Bedell, Catherine 'Elaine'
Catherine “Elaine” Bedell, 72, of Branson, Mo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her sons, Marc Bedell of Cedar Rapids and Steven Bedell of Branson, Mo.; sister, Colleen Charkowski (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids; brother, Allan Gremm (Nancy) of Coralville; and several nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.
Catherine Elaine Gremm was born April 3, 1937, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Donna (Ryan) Gremm. She worked for many years at Quaker Oats until she retired in 1998.
