Becky was born on March 22, 1958, born and raised in Hiawatha, Iowa, to Russell and Sallie Bartels, Becky grew up with family and friends at Lake Delhi. She cherished her childhood memories. She loved anything with sand and water! Becky loved taking vacations to warmer climates always to pick up “beachy” trinkets to place in her house and yard. Becky owned Outskirts Bar and Grill until her retirement. Becky made many wonderful friends over the years.
Becky is survived by her daughter, Athena and her children, Aleksis, Adin, Brice and Blake; her daughter, Amanda and her children, Andrea, Bryanna, Callie, Destiny, Skyler and Bently; her parents, Russ and Mary Bartels; sisters, Debbie Knickerbocker (Kirk) and Wendy Bertelli; brothers, Rick and Scott; and stepsisters, Kathy, Patty and Wanda.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie.
The family would like to thank the Hospice House, friends and neighbors that helped care for Becky. Her “team” treated her with grace and dignity. She appreciated each one of you, even if she did boss you around!
If you have ever been to Becky’s house (known as the jungle) the family requests no plants to be sent, better yet, feel free to take one home! Memorials can be directed to the family.
