Beck, Max Riley
Max Riley Beck, 87, of Chelsea, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Doris of Chelsea; four sons, Richard Beck of Topeka, Kan., Thomas (Colleen) Beck of Bettendorf, Merlyn Beck of Ames and Bruce (Yadira) Beck of Chelsea; two daughters, Marcia (Todd) Pedersen of Marion and Tamara (Darren) Bennett of Grayson, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ila Jean Bratton of Toledo, Lavonne Cherveny of Toledo and Sherry Lathorp of Illinois; one brother, Timothy Beck of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
