Beauchamp, Jay
Jay Beauchamp, 42, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Zion Lutheran Church in Shellsburg with Pastor Mark Leckband officiating. Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. The casket will not be open at the church on Saturday.
A memorial fund has been established for education funds for Jay's children.
Jay was born Oct. 7, 1971, in Washington, Iowa. On June 28, 2003, he was united in marriage to Becky Betterton at Cedar Christian Church in Cedar Rapids. He was employed as a technical support analyst at Stoneriver Inc. in Cedar Rapids.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shellsburg. Jay served as treasurer of East Central Iowa Autism Society and loved all sports, especially golfing. One of his passions was participating in Fantasy Football with his buddies. Most of all, he loved and adored all of his family, and will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his wife, Becky of Shellsburg; his children, Jack and Maddie Joe Beauchamp, Paige, Jake and Taylor Stodola; his parents, Diane and George Kristjanson of Shellsburg; his in-law parents, Pat and John Betterton of Shellsburg; his brother, Brian (Deborah) Beauchamp of Cedar Rapids; and his sisters, Sherry and Julie Kristjanson, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
