Beatty, Jean E.
Jean E. Beatty, 61, of Independence, Iowa died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home in Independence, Iowa.
Jean was born March 7, 1951, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn L. and Fern E. (McAtee) Fenner. She was a 1969 graduate of Jesup High School. On June 12, 1971, she married James B. Beatty in the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. The family lived in the Independence area, where Jean was employed with Walmart for the past 29 years, managing almost every department at one time or another.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Beatty, Independence, Iowa; two sons, Chad (Tricia) Beatty and Travis Beatty, all of Independence, Iowa; three grandchildren, Brooke, Jacob, and Joshua Beatty; a brother, Dale (Sandy) Fenner, Maple Grove, Minn.; a niece, Michelle (Joe) Kallstrom; and two great-nieces, Kaylee and Alexis Kallstrom.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Independence, Iowa, with Rev. Kurt Bockoven and Rev. John Sheda officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Wilson Cemetery, Independence, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, Iowa.
