Bean, Elmeda L. Wieser
Elmeda L. Wieser Bean, 81, of Edgewood, formerly of Stanwood, Martelle and Mount Vernon, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the Edgewood Convalescent Center from cancer. Family and friends are invited to share in a daily Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton. Elmeda will be buried in St. John Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted with Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon.
Surviving Elmeda are her siblings, Leroy (Theresa) Wieser, Urbana, Leo (Lori) Wieser, Manchester, Virginia DeShaw, Strawberry Point, and Luella DeShaw, Hopkinton. Elmeda is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Preceding Elmeda in death were her parents; husband, Harlan; and two brothers, Donald (D.J.) and Clarence (Chuck) Wieser.
Elmeda spent 35 of her 81 years at Collins Radio, retiring in 1968. After her retirement, she volunteered her
time and talent to the Catholic Church.
