Beadle, Robert E.
Robert E. Beadle, 79, of Marion, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness. A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Ann of Marion; son, Robert Beadle (Karla) of Marion; grandchildren, Joshua Beadle of Iowa City, Derrick Beadle of Fairfax, Cassandra Beadle of Cedar Rapids and Ryan Beadle of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Bethany, William and Carter; and sister, Vera Wickstrom of Middlebury, Ind.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Carroll Beadle.
Robert E. Beadle was born July 15, 1931, in Gilmore, Ind., the son of Ernest and Edna (Mattox) Beadle. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Sept. 25, 1961, he married Ann in Morrison, Ill. Bob was a salesman for Klinger Paints for many years, retiring in 1991.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and knew him.
Memorials may be given in his name to the American Disabled Veterans, Camp Courageous or the donor's charity of choice.
