Beadle, Nelavene R.
Nelavene R. Beadle, 90, of Marion, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a sudden illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. James Wartian will officiate. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include two sons, David and Barry, both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Maxine Williams of Lisbon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Mildred Jilovec.
Nelavene was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Lisbon, the daughter of William and Lulu Andre Reimer. She married Donald E. Beadle on July 3, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Don died in 2010. Nelavene worked at Sears in the office and retired from there after more than 20 years of service.
Nelavene was a member of New Covenant Bible Church and several local card clubs. She enjoyed playing pinochle, quilting, numerous bus trips throughout the United States and especially the time spent with her beloved family and many friends.
Nelavene was a wonderful wife and blessed mother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
