Baxter, William H. 'Bill'
William H. “Bill” Baxter, 53, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012. Per Bill's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie; sons, Steven (Tammy) Chyma of Tama, Joey (Cynthia) Chyma of Cedar Rapids and Chad (Michaela) Chyma of Tama; parents, Harry and Freida Baxter of Tucson, Ariz.; mother-in-law, Shirley Kingery of Cedar Rapids; and eight grandchildren.
William Harry Baxter was born Aug. 21, 1959, in East Orange, N.J., the son of Harry and Freida (Schloetzer) Baxter. On Jan. 31, 2006, he married Debbie McAdoo in Las Vegas, Nev. At the age of 17, Bill earned his pilot's license in September 1976. Bill worked as a software engineer for IBM for 27 years, retiring in 2009.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
