Bartunek, Donna Mae
Donna Mae Bartunek, 75, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Caruth Village Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs Village, with the Rev. Lamar Trieschmann officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Guests may register at
Survivors include her husband, Vince Bartunek of Hot Springs Village; daughter, Linn Tanabe of Denver, Colo.; sister, Nedra Hohl of Westminster, S.C.; and lifelong friends, Edward Rocca and his two daughters, Mary Curry and Tina Halligan and their families.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norton and Don Smith.
She was born Feb. 7, 1934, in Iowa City, to the late Jack Smith and the late Edna Smith. Donna graduated from Iowa City High in 1952. She married Vincent J. Bartunek on June 18, 1959. Mrs. Bartunek was retired from her position as an avionic communications lab technician for Rockwell Collins in 1993. Her hobbies were interior designing, reading and dancing. She was a vocational homebuilder and an excellent seamstress.
