Barker, Sarah
Sarah Barker went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. She had been a long-term resident of the Villages at Marion after living with her daughter Shirley in Cedar Rapids for about five years.
Sarah moved to Cedar Rapids from Indiana in 2001. She lived with her husband, Lowell in a variety of places in Indiana, where they raised five children and where Lowell passed away in 1990.
All who met her quickly recognized that she was not a native mid-westerner. Her southern drawl was just a small part of her Georgia charm.
She will be missed by her friends at Village Ridge and by her three surviving daughters and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
