Barbara Rose Uthoff, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Crestview Acres, Marion. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, with burial to follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services Friday at the chapel.
Barbara was born March 14, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Anton and Frances (Dostal) Jirkovsky. She graduated from Wilson High School. Barb was united in marriage to William Uthoff. They were later divorced. Barb resided in southwest Cedar Rapids all her life, where she raised her three children, Diane, Dean and Ed. She worked for Iowa Title and Abstract for many years until her retirement.
Barb enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowering, being outside, as well as watching sports. She was proud of her Czech heritage and enjoyed kolaches from Sykora Bakery.

vived by her sons, Dean (Tracey) of Australia and Ed (Peggy) of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; four grand-children, Kristopher (Amber) Stallman of Park View, Nathan Uthoff of Australia and Emily and Katrina Uthoff, both of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; as well as a son-in-law, Randy (Rhonda) Stallman of Shellsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George Jirkovsky; her daughter, Diane Stallman; and daughter-in-law, Sylvia Uthoff.
