Barbara Ann Trask, 61, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her residence following a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St. in Vinton with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Interment will be at Urbana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established.
Barbara was born March 9, 1955, in Cedar Rapids to Ralph Edgar and Lorena "Fern" (Cress) Karr. She graduated from Urbana High School and married Mike Trask at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple enjoyed camping and fishing together. Barbara also loved time spent with family and friends.
Barbara was employed as a custodian at Center Point-Urbana Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Mike of Urbana; her son, James (Katelynn) Kuhn of Urbana; her daughters, Shalean Kuhn of Urbana and Sandy Kuhn of Davenport; her mother, Lorena "Fern" Karr of Center Point; her stepsons, Nicholas Trask and Erik (Cassie) Trask, both of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, William Janzen and Karly Kuhn; eight stepgrandchildren; her brothers, David and Ron Karr; her sisters, Helen Karr, Cathy Vincent and Linda Horne; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Warren; and her sister, Lynette.
