Barbara A. Rogers, 86, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Iowa City, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, where there will be a visitation time from 10 a.m. until services. Following services, a reception will be held at the funeral home before going to Memory Gardens Cemetery for burial.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory.

Barbara Alice Branson was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Marshall County, Iowa, the daughter of Claude E. and Ethel M. (Racey) Branson. She was united in marriage to Billy Dean Rogers on Nov. 26, 1948, in Rock Island, Ill. The couple lived in Iowa City for many years before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1962. They spent many winters in Mission, Texas, and traveled throughout the country in their Airstream. Barbara continued to winter in Texas even after Billy's passing. In 2008, she moved permanently back to Cedar Rapids and was a resident of Irving Point Assisted Living since its opening.
She loved her family, especially being grandma and great-grandma to her grandchildren!
Her family includes her three children, Lester Rogers (Amy Koppenhaver) of Cedar Rapids, Jacquelyn Lenihan (William) of Solon and Claudette Giannetto (David) of Marion; four grandchildren, Jason Lenihan (Khayala), Olivia Lenihan (Chad Harvey), Jesse Giannetto and Justin Giannetto (Lindsay); and five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Orion, Jacob, Antonnio and Serena.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janet Mencl; and her husband, Billy.
