Barbara Ann Pernicka, 75, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Per her wishes, she has been cremated. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Barbara was born May 23, 1946, to Paul and Frances (Wright) White in Cedar Rapids. She married Eugene Pernicka on June 19, 1965, in Cedar Rapids. Barbara worked at Rockwell Collins for five years, she then worked in food service for the Cedar Rapids Community School District until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, baking, crocheting and watching her granddaughters bowl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mike Pernicka; and her siblings, Sandra Lukaszewicz, Paul White Jr., Connie White and Mitchel White.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Eugene Pernicka; daughter, Amy (Kyle Kubite) Pernicka; her two granddaughters, Keely Pernicka and Alivia Pernicka; and her brother, Jeff (Carol) White.
