Barbara R. Mead passed away into heaven's grace on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015.
Barbara was born on June 11, 1924, to Elsie and James Robinson in Cedar Rapids. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Mead, on July 11, 1945, and together they shared 61 wonderful years. Bob passed away Nov. 11, 2006, in Mountain Home, Ark.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kevin Mead and his very special lady, Sonya HarrisHarris, both of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Gayle Millard and husband, Russ; and her two dear grandchildren, Rob and Sara Millard, all of Davenport; as well as her nephew, Robert Clark and wife Jackie of Mountain Home, Ark.
Private committal services will be held for the family per Barbara's wishes. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family and a donation in Barbara's memory will be made to Camp Courageous of Iowa. Please send correspondence for the Mead family in care of Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, 4200 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
