Barbara Lynn "Kitty" Diehl, 65, our precious angel from God, went home peacefully to be with Jesus, May 20, 2021, surrounded by her family and caregivers from the Discovery Living Group Home.
Left to cherish her life are her mother, Mary Ann Diehl; sisters, Dianne Ellison and Mary Jane Woodward; and brothers , Gary, Jim, John and Dan Diehl. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a special-needs child wonderfully taken care of by her parents for 47 years. She spent the last 18 years as a resident of the Discovery Living Group Home.
Our family would like to thank the Discovery Group caregivers and the members of Options of Linn County for their extraordinary kindnesses extended to her. Barbara brought so much love and joy to all that knew and cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Diehl.
Services to be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on May 24 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Barbara Diehl, under the video tab starting at 11 a.m. on Monday. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Discovery Living, Northbrook 2 for needs of the home.
