Barbara Jean Jones, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Jude Catholic Church, by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. A visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where a rosary will begin at 4 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her
sons, Richard (Linda) Jones, Gregg (Kris) Jones and Karen (Jim) Barta, all of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Wayne Krumbholz of Marion; her grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Amy Jones, and Matt Barta, all of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Zander Jones, Rielle Jones Teske and Amber Jones, all of Cedar Rapids; and a sister-in-law, Joan Knowles of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; her son-in-law, Tim Bentzinger; and siblings, Kenneth (Josephine) Krumbholz, Aileen (Al) Neyens, Dale (Janet) Krumbholz; sister-in-law, Normalea Krumbholz; and brother-in-law, Bob Jones.
Barbara was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Maude (Kane) Krumbholz. She married Gordon L. Jones on Jan. 8, 1944, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Barbara graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1942. She was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a 68-year member of Catholic Order of Foresters.
Barbara was a homemaker and family was very important to her. She also enjoyed trips to the casinos.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
