Barbara Jo Clark Ingersoll, 72, of Ely, Iowa, passed away April 26, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Service: 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at the funeral home. Burial: Rogers Grove Cemetery on Ivanhoe Road, rural Ely.
Barb was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Grace (Wilde) Clark. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1963. She was hired by United Airlines in 1964 and became a flight attendant based in Seattle, Wash. Barb was a flight attendant for 34 years, flying both domestic and international flights. On Feb. 2, 1992, Barb married Wally Ingersoll in Las Vegas, Nev. They retired in 1999 and moved to Arizona, returning to Iowa in 2012 to be near family.
Barb is survived by her husband, Wally; stepson, Brett (Janel) Ingersoll of Chandler, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Adam and Audrey Ingersoll; and siblings, Karen Fiala, Jim Clark, Will Clark, Mark (Patricia) Clark and Glen (Crystal) Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Grace Clark; brother-in-law, David Fiala; and two sisters-in-law, Carol Clark and Lois Clark.
