Emmet died June 6, 2010. Barb worked at Hawkeye Rubber Manufacturing Co. for many years and enjoyed her 27 years of retirement to the fullest.
Barb was a devoted member of Saint Ludmila Catholic Church since moving to Cedar Rapids and a devout Catholic. She contributed generously to many charities. Barb devoted her life to taking care of her family and many friends. She remembered everyone’s birthday, anniversary and special occasions with a card in the mail.
She was an avid football fan of the Bears. Her favorite “sports,” however, were going to the casino, playing cards for money, bingo and sweeping the floors of everyone in her family.
Special thanks to everyone at Promise House for their loving kindness, patience and excellent care of Mom.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Barb’s family or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
