Barbara Ann (Hellwig) Wyatt, age 87, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the Oldorf Hospice House on Monday, December 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
A private memorial service will be held later.
Barbara was born on April 6, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Regina (Pfiffner) Hellwig. On July 1, 1996, Barbara married Robert Wyatt. Barbara and Bob loved to travel together. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Her greatest passion was spending time with her children.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lori (Steve) Shebetka, of Amana, IA, Cathy Martensen, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Julie (Bruce) Miller, of Norway, IA, and Christine (Matt) Schultz of The Colony, TX; her step-children, Scott, Robin, Randy, Peter, Tom, Terry, and Matt Wyatt; her sister, Marilyn Hagan, of Hiawatha, IA; her dogs, Toby and Dexter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and her parents.
The family would like to thank Dr. Booth, Stoney Point Meadows, and Hospice of Mercy for all the love and support they showed Barbara while she was in their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linn County Human Society or to Hospice of Mercy.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Matt and Kathy Wyatt for all their love and support over the years.
