Baird, D. Margarett
D. Margarett Baird, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away at the Episcopal Church Home in St. Paul, Minn., on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.
Margarett was born in Muscatine, Iowa on Nov. 14, 1914, to Jacob and Emma Radebaugh.
Her husband, Elmer A. Baird, preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by her son, Phillip of St. Paul, Minn.; her daughter, Pam Essex of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Erin Short of Champlin, Minn., Katie Atwood of Cedar Rapids, Megan Moon of Cedar Rapids, Jon Moon of Iowa City and Nicholas Moon of Florida; and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life and Episcopal Liturgy of Resurrection was held Saturday, Jan. 26, at Coventry Chapel at the Church Home in St. Paul. Interment will take place at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
