Bahls, Harold W.
Harold W. Bahls, 79, of Elkader, died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at the Guttenberg Care Center. He was born the son of William and Irene (Polkow) Bahls on March 29, 1931.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Livingston) Bahls; four children, David (Darlene) Bahls, Deborah (Joseph) Stroschein, Scott (Nicole) Bahls and Julie (David) Kobliska; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Dwayne Bahls, Joanne Remington, Ida Jilek, Geraldine Slaybaugh and Don Bahl.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, and after 10 a.m.Wednesday at the church.
