Backen, Faith Irene
Faith Irene Backen, 69, of Tama, passed away July 7, 2011, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Tama, with Pastor Kalen Barkholtz officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, rural Tama. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Survivors include her husband, Richard “Butch” Backen of Tama; her children, Tracy Backen of Toledo, Shane Backen of Tama, Trever (Holly) Backen of Tama and Kasey (Kate) Backen of Tama; six grandchildren, Haley, Tanner, Levi, Gabe, Makayla and Emma; two sisters, Frances Prusha of Tama and Dodie Fisher of Fort Madison; and many nieces and nephews.
