Bachman, Karen Kay
Karen Kay Bachman, 61, of Lamont, formerly of Clarksville, died peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Monday, July 19, 2010, following a long bout of Parkinson's disease. She will have immediate burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, rural Oelwein, at 1:30 p.m. today. There will be a memorial Celebration of Life service at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lamont, followed by fellowship at the Lamont American Legion Hall. The Rev. Ron Spears will officiate.
Karen was born Feb. 11, 1949, at Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Maxine (Smith) Jacobs. She attended Clarksville Community Schools and graduated in 1967. Karen very much enjoyed being with friends and family - camping, playing cards, board games,
