Bach, Roger
Roger Bach, 56, of Troy Mills, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, from injuries suffered in a farming accident. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by the Rev. Sheri Andersen. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the funeral home. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery.
Survivors include his father, Jack Bach of Troy Mills; two sons, Charlie (Brooke) Bach of Coggon and Kevin Bach of Troy Mills; four grandchildren, Colton, Rylie, Bryar and Drake; brother, Byron (Marta) Bach of Cedar Rapids; nephew, August Bach; and niece, Jeanne Briggs.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Marie Bach; an infant brother, Carl Bach; and his mother, Rose Ann Bach.
Roger was born Jan. 22, 1957, the son of Jack and Rose Ann (Smedley) Bach, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Patricia Hart and later divorced. Roger worked for Wilson Foods, Midland Forge and most recently with Kapstone Container.
Roger had a lifelong love of farming and trapping and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Roger.
