B. JOAN (TAYLOR) BROWN

B. Joan (Taylor) Brown pased away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Northbrook Manor. There will be no service at this time. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services handled the cremation.
Joan was born June 24, 1929, in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She loved to travel, visiting many foreign countries, including India and Africa. Early in her nursing career she traveled with Doctors Without Borders. She loved playing cards and bridge was her passion.
Surviving are her sister, Maxie Frueh; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Taylor and Chris Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Stella Taylor; husband, Jim Brown; and two brothers, Milton (Bill) Taylor and Ronald Taylor.
