Axline, Steven Robert
Steven Robert Axline, 49, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center following a lingering illness. A memorial gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Hiawatha Community Center, 101 Emmons St. Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery in Morley, at a later date.
He is survived by daughters, Jessica and Katie Axline of Rock Island, Ill.; sisters, Marilyn (David) Merrill of Anamosa, Judy (Tom) Meedbury, Pat Axline and Diane (Rick) Saddoris, all of Cedar Rapids, and Neta (John) Coonradt of Solon; and brothers, Dale (Lanna) Axline and Jess (Debbie) Axline, both of Lowden, Terry Axline of Hiawatha, and Joe (Betty) Axline of Springville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Dean Axline; and sister, Lola Tatro.

Steven worked in road construction as an asphalt layer. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating.
