Audrey M. Gage, 93, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015. Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 10, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial at a later date at Wilcox Cemetery, Anamosa, Iowa.
Survivors include her son, David (Christine) Gage; daughters, Lucia Gage and Julia Klaren; sister, Crystal Osborn; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Allen and Ronald Gage; two brothers, Delbert Carmer and Gerald Walters; one sister, Carol Beers; one granddaughter, Cindy Wicher; and one grandson, Shane Gage.
Audrey was born on May 16, 1921, in Mechanicsville, Iowa, on the family farm, the daughter of Roy and Beryl (Wilson) Carmer. She enjoyed sitting by the river bank fishing the day away. She also loved gardening. Her love of flowers and her green thumb was enjoyed by friends and family. Through the years her love turned to dancing and this became her greatest enjoyment of all.
