AUDRA DEAN SLIGHT

Audra Dean Slight, 75, of Marion, died Wednesday,
May 17, 2017, surrounded by his family at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Cowboy Church by the Rev. C.W. Slaton. Friends may visit
with the family Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Audra was born May 2, 1942, the son of Audra and
Iva Lovell Slight in Iowa
City. On Dec. 31, 1962, he married Mary Janes in Des Moines. Audra worked at Harnischfeger for several years, and then retired from The Eastern Iowa Airport (Skycap) in 2013.
Audra is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Tina Trimble (Todd), Debra Slight, Michael Slight, Steve Slight, Kim Burtis (Larry Berndt) and James Slight; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sondra Short and Teresa Gage; brothers, Richard Slight, Larry Slight (Jenny) and Donald Slight (Carol); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audra and Iva Slight; and stepmother, Cora Slight.
Audra enjoyed going to auctions, antiquing, gardening and refurbishing things.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
