Aubrey Vincent Davisson, 87, passed away on Oct. 21, 2022. The family is honoring his wishes of cremation with no services.
Aubrey was born on Sept. 25, 1935, at the Davisson homestead west of Wellman, Iowa, near the English River. He was the fifth child of Ross and Jennie (Walton) Davisson. He attended rural school at Fairview, graduated from North English High School, and then served two years in the armed forces.
Aubrey married Kay Stansbury on July 2, 1955. They lived 14 years in Keota before moving to Cedar Rapids and later to West Branch.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey and Monty; one daughter, Deanna (Bob) Pedersen; two grandchildren, Wesley (Jodi) Clemens and Monica (Corey) Nemmers; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kalvin Clemens and Lincoln Nemmers.
Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harley, Ross and Donald; and one sister, Verda Groff.
