Aswegan, Shirley
Shirley Aswegan, 78, died Monday, March 28, 2011. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, April 1, at the Overton Funeral Home in Traer, with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Gladbrook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert; one daughter, Cathy; one sister, Leila; one brother, Pete; and a daughter-in-law Cheryl.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; three sons, Russell (Kathy Fuller) Aswegan of Atkins, Randy (Stephanie Hatfield) Aswegan of Newhall, and Richard Aswegan of Marion; two daughters, Connie (Keith Meyer) Huber of Cedar Rapids, and Carla (Steve) Sokol of Grinnell; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Florence Stark of Traer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
