Asbury, Verda Mae
Verda Mae Asbury, 85, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Washington County Hospital. Celebration of life services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Julie Poulsen officiating. Visitation will begin at noon today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, at 4 p.m. Saturday.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Patrick and husband Dennis of Topeka, Kan.; son, Monte Asbury and wife Lori of Washington, Iowa; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as special friend, T.J. Berdo of Washington, Iowa.
Memorials have been established for the Pleasantview Home in Kalona.
