Arthur Baker, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Lloyd Eaken will officiate at the service. A family internment will be at a later date.

Surviving are five children, Arthur C. (Charlie) Baker of Anamosa, Steven Ray (Jorgeanne) Baker of Tucson, Ariz., Daniel E. (Linda) Baker of Tucson, Ariz., Austin B. (Christine) Baker of Anamosa and Carol Anne Allen of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Elizabeth Truesdell of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren, Joe, Lee, Josh, Sarah, Jennifer, Jerome, Andy, Cliff, Hannah and Eleora; and 14 great-grandchildren, Ronnie, Cheyenne, Haven, Jimmy, Levi, Harley, Austin, Alyssa, Rodrick, Kayla, Tyler, Emily, Lilyanna and Abigail.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his 11 older brothers and his wife, Marianne.
Arthur Ninion Baker was born Dec. 29, 1924, at Licking, Mo. He was the son of Enos and Savanah Baker. On Nov. 1, 1947, Arthur Baker and Marianne Young were united in marriage at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Anamosa. Arthur was employed as a mechanic for most of his life. He worked at Barnard and Lees Manufacturing, Allis Chalmers and Iowa Manufacturing. He retired in 1985.
Arthur and Marianne enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church for more than 50 years and the West Ajo Baptist Church in Arizona for more than 25 years.
