Arnold, H. Arlyne
H. Arlyne Arnold, 92, of 2204 Johnson Ave. NW, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons, Toby Arnold of Cedar Rapids and Dale Arnold of Kentucky; two sisters, Marjorie Hull of Las Vegas, Nev., and Beverly King of Richmond, Va.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters, Iona Wollam, Naomi Gregson, Carol Burnett and Roberta Pierce; two brothers, Orville Hanson and Harold Hanson; and a son, Richard Arnold.
Arlyne was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Jasper County, Iowa, to Harold and Cecile Deeds Hanson. She married Lexie C. Arnold on April 5, 1946, in Iowa City. He died in 1976. She was an assembly supervisor for Rockwell-Collins, retiring after 30 years.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Mercy.
