Arnold Daniels, Jr., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a distinguished scholar, diplomat, educator, and entrepreneur, passed away on February 19, 2025, leaving a legacy of enduring friendships.
Born February 17, 1949, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Arnold and Ophelia Daniels, he grew up in Shelbyville, Tennessee before moving to Washington, DC, in 1959. He moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 2016, and founded Affordable Transportation, LLC. A memorial service for Arnold will be held at the African American Museum of Iowa, 55 12th Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10 am. Per Arnold’s wishes, he was cremated and his remains will be buried with his parents at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Maryland.
