Arnold “Arnie” Achenbach, 74, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away on peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Arnold was born on Nov. 14, 1948, to Bernard W. and Barbara M. (Krob) Achenbach in Mechanicsville, Iowa.
Arnie was a self-employed semi driver hauling steel. He was a car enthusiast owning many cars, including his 37 Ford and 66 Caprice. Arnie was a fan of NASCAR, old westerns and war movies. He loved his family very much.
Arnie is survived by his son, Bryan (Anna Wallace) Achenbach; daughter, Cassie (Dustin Ohlfest) Achenbach; grandchildren, Josey Loftus, Brody Achenbach and Sophia Shuppy; sister, Arlieta Hamer; and dog, Teady.
Arnie was preceded in death by his parents and dog, Sadie.
