Arnie M. Sandvick, 70, of Ladora, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at his home. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Inurnment: Victor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Arnie is survived by his children, Tina York (Craig) and Terra Huber (Donnie), both of Ladora, A.J. Sandvick (Ashley) of Hartwick and Charlie Ludwig (Scott) of Pleasant Hill; six grandchildren, Jerod and Jordan York, Trevor Huber, Abby, Axton and Arika Sandvick; a great-grandson, Aiden John Huber; and his mother, Teruko Yoshizumi Sandvick of Ames.
Also surviving are his siblings, Audrey Crawford (Steven) of Nevada, Iowa, Al Sandvick (Norma) of Ames and Arlene Zerr (Kelly) of Story City; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sandvick; and a granddaughter, Monica Lynn Huber-Lindsey.
