Arline M. Troy, 95, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, with a visitation beginning an hour before, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Darren Tharp will officiate at the service. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arline Marie Troy was born on Aug. 28, 1919, to Samuel and Glennie Harville Fernow in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Raymond Troy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dedicated all of who she was to taking care of those she loved. She will be forever remembered for her loving and caring demeanor.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Kinsey; grandchildren, Monica Schirmer, Erica Laux, Dennis Troy, Jason Troy, Shawn Troy, Troy Kinsey and Dana Kinsey; and great-grandchildren, Nick, Brandon, Chase, Blake, Andrew, Kira, Ethan, Caleb, Taylor, Olivia, James and Claire.
Arline was preceded in death by her husband; children, Stephen Troy and Kevin Troy; a brother, Melvin Fernow; and sister, Dorothy Jane Benedict.
