Arlene June Prevas, 83, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. She was born June 25, 1931, the daughter of Robert and Emily (Lockwood) McBurney. She graduated in 1948 from Dows High School. On Aug. 30, 1951, Arlene was united in marriage to Chris Prevas in Mitchell, S.D.; they later divorced. She retired from Penford Products in 1999 where she worked for over 32 years.
Arlene was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Eagles Auxiliary 2272 and Penick and Ford retirees.
Arlene is survived by her son, Dennis (Theresa) Prevas of Sun Prairie, Wis.; brothers, Robert (Betty) McBurney and Richard (Virginia) McBurney; grandchildren, Dr. Richard (Karen) Iaccino and Becky Iaccino; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and MacKenzie Iaccino.
She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her son, Keith Robert Prevas; parents; brothers, Russell and Ronald McBurney; and nephews, Darren and Joe McBurney.
Private family services will be held.
