Arlene Marie Oster, 101, of Lowden, formerly of Dysart, died May 6, 2014, at Unity Point Hospice, Cedar Rapids. There will be no funeral or visitation at Arlene's request. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
Survivors include her son, Gary Oster; son-in-law, Robert and Susan Dobling; grandchildren, Tesha Dobling and Brett and Monica Dobling; great-grandchildren, Jessica Blazek, Broc Dobling, Bryle Dobling and Raymond Colony; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Arlette Dobling; four brothers and two sisters.
Arlene was born April 27, 1913, the daughter of Dirk and Anna (Wieben) Siemens. She married George E. Oster on July 3, 1933, in Chicago at the World's Fair.
Memorials may be directed to the family or sent to Unity Point Hospice in Arlene's name.
