Arlene & John Yanecek, ages 81 & 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, due to complications of an automobile accident.
A visitation celebrating Arlene & John’s lives will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. Inurnment will be held in the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include their children, Cheryl (Leon) Fratzke of Cedar Rapids, Dawn (Joe) Lane-Kannenberg of Cedar Rapids, Arlene “Enne” (Mark) Worrall of Knoxville, Iowa, Mary Jo (Reid) Beebe-Netz of Cedar Rapids, Julie Lane of Cedar Rapids, Linda (Jason) Hunt of Cedar Rapids, John (Susan) Yanecek of Cedar Rapids, Ann Lane of Cedar Rapids and John (Kelli) Lane of Mount Vernon; and 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Arlene’s surviving siblings include Cheri Stauffer, Tammie Seeser and Mark Turner, all of Clinton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Steve, Robert, Thomas and Danny Turner; and granddaughter Leanne Lawrence.
John’s surviving sister is Debra (Lynn) Rogers of Cedar Rapids; and aunt, Karen Beall of Cedar Rapids. John was preceded in death by his daughter, Chaundra; a brother, Thomas; and his mother, Dorothy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
