Ariana D. Meader, 18, of Cedar Rapids, passed away May 18, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A service will be held at Cedar Me-morial Park Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, with burial to follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Davina Meader and stepfather David Klarkowski; brothers, Andrew Meader and Zach Meader; grandparents, Jim and Luba Meader; great-grandparents, Robert and Ila Mae Meader; uncle, Edwin (Trish) Meader, and their son, Logan; aunt, Kim Meader; and many other family members.
Ariana graduated from Washington High School one year early in the fall of 2012. She attended Kirk-wood Community College for her chemical engineering degree and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honors society.
Ariana was an excellent artist with talents that included drawing, animation and woodworking. She was also a proud member of the NRA.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
