Ardith Elinore Bull, 88, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Covenant Medical Center,
Waterloo, of natural causes. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Dysart United Methodist Church. Burial: Dysart Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with Overton Funeral Home, Dysart.

Ardith was born on a farm near Dysart on June 13, 1926, the daughter of William and Verna (Vaupel) Schnell. She attended school in Dysart, graduating from Dysart High School in 1944.
Ardith attended St. Luke's School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids as part of the Cadet Nurses Program and became a registered nurse in 1947. On May 25, 1947, she was united in marriage to Delmar "Lee" Bull in Dysart. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2013. Ardith was an RN at St. Luke's Hospital in the Obstetrics Department until she and her husband moved to Dysart to farm. Ardith worked for the Dysart Clinic and later retired as director of nursing at Sunnycrest Nursing Home. For many years she also was a volunteer nurse for the Red Cross blood drives in Dysart.
She was a longtime card club member and belonged to the Good Cheer Club and Home Study Women's Club.
Ardith was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Ardith is survived by her three daughters, Terry (Ken) Ecklund of Dysart, Donna Everding of Waterloo and Marcia (Paul) Hahn of Denver; three grandchildren, Chelsea and Brittany Ecklund of Cedar Falls and Eric Hahn of Davenport; two brothers, Dean (Pat) Schnell of Bemidji, Minn., and Allen (Glenna) Schnell of Cedar Rapids; and a sister-in-law, Frances Bull of McAllen, Texas.
