Anthony "Tony" P. Kopaitich of Swisher, Iowa, passed away March 2, 2021. Gay & Ciha Funeral Home, 2730 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City, IA 52240, is assisting the family. Considering his wishes, there will be no services. There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
Tony was born July 6, 1939, to Anthony and Leah Kopaitich in Chicago, Ill.
Tony was a talented piano player and had the "gift of gab" to anyone who would listen. He loved his furry pets. His family and faith were important to him.
He is survived by his daughter, Gina Kopaitich; stepchildren, Robin Brecht, Linda Bena and Larry Gabrielson; and his sister, Jenny Berger of Fairfax.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores; his parents; brother, Douglas Wessel; and sister, Dorothy Luck.
Tony will live in our hearts forever.
