Annis, Margaret O.
Margaret O. Annis, 92, of Central City, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her home. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, by the Rev. Vicki Engelmann. The family will greet friends one hour before the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include her son, Gerald (Pat) Annis; daughter-in-law, Helen Annis; grandchildren, Kevin Annis, Lorna Dreeves and Christine (Kevin) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Linsey (Thomas) Eiben, Kimberly (Matt) Johnson, Nicholas Anderson and Samantha Annis; and great-great-grandchildren, Parker Johnson, Addison Eiben and Mason Eiben.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; son, Loren Annis; sisters, Doris, Ellen and Catherine; and brother, Walter.
Margaret was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Central City, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Bertha (Mann) O'Connor. She married Dale Annis in 1938, in Coggon. Dale died in November 1965. Margaret worked as an assembly operator for Rockwell Collins for nearly 30 years. She took great pride in, and loved her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren very much.
